As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will assist our clinics by processing and analyzing ordered specimens so our providers can properly diagnose and treat oncology and hematology conditions. Responsibilities Here's what might happen on a typical day... Working in our central lab, you will perform a wide range of medical oncology lab responsibilities including accurately performing specimen analysis, instrument maintenance, and quality control procedures for moderate and high complexity laboratory tests. Your teamwork mindset proves vital in working with and maintaining healthy working relationships with other lab and practice staff as you communicate with many different positions and levels of the practice. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in medical technology or laboratory science. Current state license if required. AMT, ASCP or equivalent certification preferred . Position is entry level and requires 0-3 years of experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands of this job typically require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination in operation and manipulation of complex laboratory equipment. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time with the use hands to finger, handle, or feel and arms to reach or carry. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision, color perception and hearing to normal range. Requires legible handwriting.
