As the Nutritional Services Supervisor at Salem Hospital, you'll play a vital leadership role in ensuring high-quality food service operations that directly impact patient care and satisfaction. You'll oversee daily functions, address staffing and operational needs, manage training and scheduling, and support a team of associates, cooks, and food service workers. You'll do so by fostering clear communication, promoting collaboration, and setting high expectations, you will help drive service excellence across the department. Your ability to coach, resolve issues, and implement improvements ensures efficient, patient-centered service. Background/Expertise:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/lead experience with food service operations experience preferred
  • Must have Food Handler's certification within one month of hire
  • Must have strong computer skills in order to manage patient food service systems (Computrition) and understanding of EMR (electronic medical record) as well as to complete data collection / analysis of patient services functions and individual staff members performance
  • Must have a strong understanding of health care food service operations, specifically relative to special diets and current nutrition standards for a variety of patient populations - adults, pediatrics, geriatrics with various medical conditions
  • Must be capable of performing medium-heavy physical work which includes, lifting, bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, stretching, and standing for long periods of time
