Primary Location: Sylmar California USA - Onsite

* Seeking a skilled Kubernetes Developer with hands-on experience in implementing Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments.

* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in container orchestration, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices. This role

* requires expertise in Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins to manage CICD pipelines and ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments. (not cloud-based/provider managed Kubernetes)

* Develop and maintain CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins.

* Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize containerized applications.

* Implement security best practices for Kubernetes environments.

* Automate Infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.

* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-availability and reliability.

* Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.

* Document processes, configurations and best practices for Kubernetes usage.

Required Qualifications:

* Proven experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

* Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization.

* Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins.

* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash and Go.

* Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $114, 00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
