As the Configuration Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and maintaining the integrity of hardware and software configurations across systems. This position will support work within NAVAIR's Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-262) at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing Hardware Software Compatibility Matrices (HSCMs) using released hardware and software engineering documentation.
  • Serving as a liaison for Class Desk tasking, release cycles, and requirements.
  • Tracking and managing Class I and II Engineering Changes.
  • Supporting Joint Configuration Control Boards (JCCB) and Technical Pre-Board Reviews.
  • Collaborating with PMA Fleet Release/Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) build managers on roadmaps and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
  • Coordinating with stakeholders regarding fleet, test, and production-released HSCMs.
  • Adjudicating and implementing configuration changes.
  • Managing multiple U.S. and Australian HSCMs across test, fleet, primary, and secondary assets.
  • Maintaining HSCMs in the PMA Engineering Change Management (ECM) tool, including setup of folders, workflows, and reviewer assignments.
  • Reviewing and managing Requests for Information (RFIs) related to HSCMs.
  • Supporting physical audits by validating hardware and software configurations against approved engineering changes.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of Configuration Management experience, required.
  • Strong understanding of both custom-developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, and how their dependencies influence hardware configurations.
  • Skilled in reading hardware drawings and identifying part numbers down to the supplier level.
  • Experience in building and tracking SW baselines, and in reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (Class I and II) for impacts to HW and SW.
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite of tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with Access and SQL databases, desired.
  • Must be familiar with NAVAIR ECP, JCCB, Tech Directive processes.
  • Proficient in using databases to manage HSCMs, user roles, account administration, and data import/export functions.

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $125,000 - $150,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
