You Are:

Technology Lead - Financial Services

The Work:

  • Manage a global technical operations team in the area of retirement servicing and processing for institutional retirement clients
  • Drive daily file and data processing of highly customized applications and processes for retirement services (eligibility, enrolment, vesting, hardship management, IRS limit checking and many other value-added services).
  • Drive a distributed and highly focused team providing this business function driven by hard deadlines and SLA for critical quality level and timeliness of execution
  • Work interactively and collaboratively with critical business operations, client relationship teams and peer technology teams to successfully process client retirement data including census, remittance, adjustment and other including production of client feedback and summary reports
  • Partner with application development and test teams to drive automation, defect resolution, workarounds and elimination of workarounds and other quality of delivery and efficient initiatives
  • Identify and assess complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors and create solutions for implementation by the teams.
  • Supervise a team and the work flow demands of processing client retirement data and files through a vast mix of payroll and reporting cycles including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and other combinations based on client and retirement plan types and rules.
  • Conduct issue, incident and crisis management as required including diagnostics and triage, validation of data and testing in Production Fix environment, recovery and well as required remediation, root cause analysis and any situational post mortems for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent in communications to business partners, peer technology functions and senior management.
  • Comfortable conducting weekly and operational review and analytics of trends.
  • Support client migrations to newer technologies and systems as required while maintain high quality ongoing services.
  • Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management for daily and nightly operations.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements

Heres What You Need:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing delivery teams in a technology operations environment
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing service delivery (internal or 3rd party) including relationship management, escalation management, stakeholder management
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience partnering across a technology and business operations community
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience skills: Java, J2EE, Unix, Oracle, MongoDB, Weblogic, Splunk, Webspere, Openshift, RabbitMQ, Dynatrace
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience Retirement, Pension and/or Insurance industry experience in technology-based roles, ideally in technology operations and processing
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an associate degree with 6 years of work experience)

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
