Who we are and what we do: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to enhance business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, strengthen security and compliance, and enhance data governance and quality. Key Responsibilities: Data Engineering, Analysis & Modeling: 1. Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources. 2. Apply statistical techniques, machine learning models, and AI algorithms to solve business problems. 3. Develop and optimize predictive models to support decision-making. 4. Design, train, and fine-tune machine learning models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automation. 5. Leverage deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and other AI techniques where applicable 6. Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance operational efficiency. 7. Use AI/ML techniques to improve security measures and regulatory compliance. 8. Develop and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch processing. 9. Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with governance policies. 10. Use cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable deployment. Security, Data Governance & Compliance: 1. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards ((DMBOK). 2. Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data quality and governance. 3. Support regulatory reporting and audit requirements. 4. Ensure models align with security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). 5. Implement robust access controls and data anonymization techniques. 6. Work closely with data governance teams to enhance data protection strategies. Business Insights & Reporting: 1. Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for stakeholders. 2. Gather, analyze, and interpret business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. 3. Build dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries. 4. Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements. 5. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in workflows. 6. Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to measure business impact. Collaboration, Communication and Project Planning: 1. Work closely with business leaders, engineers, and analysts to define data-driven strategies. 2. Present findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner. 3. Lead end-to-end data projects, from requirement gathering to implementation. 4. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives. 5. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. 6. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. 7. Utilize project management software (Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project) for tracking progress. 8. Ensure project documentation is maintained and accessible. 9. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 2. 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role. 3. Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker etc.). 4. Strong background designing, developing and optimizing scalable data solutions using Google BigQuery. 5. Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices. 6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
