Talent Acquisition Specialist As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll be responsible for assisting with sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding plant employees at both the Plymouth and Oostburg production facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Generate a qualified candidate pool through various resources including the internet, newspaper, social media, community networking, job fairs, workforce development Inspire events, and employee referrals. Consistently research new recruitment sources.
- Review all applications, assist Talent Acquisition Assistant with scheduling interviews as needed, and coordinate follow-up correspondence to all Operations job applicants.
- Track the status of candidates in the Applicant Tracking System and respond with follow-up throughout the recruiting process.
- Conduct in-person interviews for Operations and provide candidates with information regarding compensation, benefits, and company culture to ensure the candidate is well-informed and has the best candidate experience.
- Assist Talent Acquisition Assistant with conducting third-party reference checks and employment verifications.
- Assist with Affirmative Plan preparation, recordkeeping, and logging of employment applications and employee changes.
- Extend offers to potential new hires.
- Process and complete all appropriate onboarding documentation.
- Complete the I-9 form, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files. Perform annual I-9 audit.
- Coordinate the orientation and onboarding of new employees.
- Coordinate the internal and external Operations job posting process and maintain all recruitment files/records.
- Maintain Employee Referral Program, working closely with the Payroll Coordinator for employee bonus payouts.
- Assist Talent Acquisition Manager in other recruitment initiatives.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager on all Affirmative Action Plan hiring goals and diversity initiatives involving recruitment, to ensure fairness in hiring practices.
- Assist with maintaining and updating seniority lists and processing employee changes.
- Assist with other human resources-related duties as assigned.
- Perform special projects as assigned by the Talent Acquisition Manager, Vice President of Human Resources, or other plant managers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate Degree in training, human resources, business or related field, or equivalent experience.
Two to three years of recruitment experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience with high-volume recruitment is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Must have good mathematical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and accuracy.
- Proficient with social media platforms and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Excellent typing skills are needed.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of employees and job candidates.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Office products and personal computer.
- Strong follow-through ability to meet time commitments.
- Requires a high level of confidentiality.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills to frequently deal with job candidates, employees, management, and the general public.
- Demonstrate decision-making skills.
