The Evaluation & Governance Manager is responsible for leading the Evaluation & Implementation of new programs across the North American Programs department,
What will you do in this role?
Program Evaluation & Implementation * Lead the Evaluation & Implementation process for proposed new programs, adhering to the North American Programs Department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both Specialty and Property & Casualty (P&C) Programs. * Ensure new MGAs and programs align with department best-in-class ethos of People, Product, and Platform. * Manage submission ingestion and recording. * Collaborate with departmental Product Leaders on Evaluation of new programs, the creation of underwriting guidelines, and product development. * Produce Proposal Summaries and Evaluation Papers by Evaluation Phase. * Lead a cross-functional Implementation Team consisting of key internal stakeholders (legal, finance, reinsurance, product, underwriting, operations, claims, etc.). * Lead engagement with MGA/program and key external stakeholders during Evaluation & Implementation. * Lead negotiation of Program Management Agreements and other agreements necessary to the implementation of a new program. * Ensure timely and effective completion of onboarding processes and procedures. * Transfer responsibility for new programs to the assigned Program Underwriting Manager upon completion of Onboarding.
Departmental Governance Oversight * Ensure departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are current, adhered to, and updated annually. * Ensure departmental SOP includes all corporate guidelines and regulations. * Oversee the annual review and updates of Underwriting Authorities and Underwriting Guidelines and keep them current. * Manage Underwriting File Audit and Underwriting File Inspection process, templates, and standards per the departmental SOP. * Lead department internal audit process. * Coordinate with stakeholders to address and implement identified issues and recommendations, ensuring timelines are achieved.

What you need to have: * Direct experience in underwriting and managing Delegated Underwriting Authority. * Comprehensive underwriting experience with a strong understanding of both admitted and non-admitted programs. * Demonstrated success in leadership roles, fostering a collaborative environment among various stakeholders * 10+ years in MGA/programs with a proven track record in program management. * Ability to negotiate contracts, develop business plans, and manage external stakeholders in the deliverance of business plans. * In-depth financial and underwriting understanding of programs business with the ability to assess and develop financial projections and forecasts on existing and prospective programs. * Confidence and comfort meeting, working with, and presenting to both internal and external senior leadership. * Proficiency in Excel (build models and conduct analyses), PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Word.

What we offer:
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $230,000 to $287,000 (NY), Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
