We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join the Analytics team at FOX. In this role, the Senior Data Scientist will design and develop the science for Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) initiatives aimed at quantifying the impact of our marketing investments and tactics on business outcomes.

The Senior Data Scientist with FOX Data Platform and Engineering teams to build out a first-of-its-kind marketing data lake and scalable data science framework for Marketing Analytics within FOX. You will be part of a team that is surfacing and disseminating tactical intelligence from cross-platform marketing datasets to inform business decisions.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a dynamic team and build advanced analytics initiatives from the ground up.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead collaboration with FOX corporate data and technology teams to build a scalable data science framework for FOX Entertainment
  • Represent Analytics in defining data science-driven requirements and solutions for major initiatives
  • Design, build, and own modeling efforts to inform marketing decisions and optimize budgets
  • Develop new statistical models as well as maintain/improve existing models
  • Develop marketing mix models to evaluate the effectiveness of various marketing channels and campaigns
  • Build predictive models to forecast the impact of marketing tactics on business outcomes and recommend optimal marketing budgets and strategies
  • Conduct thorough model validation and performance testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the developed models
  • Manage and lead one data scientist
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner and provide actionable recommendations for improving marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Run optimization and simulation scenarios to help provide marketing investment and allocation recommendations to stakeholders
  • Evolve our experimentation capabilities and tools to evaluate the business impact of marketing investments. Advise on experimentation best practices; identifying flaws in experiment practices and results; building tools for experiment analysis; etc.
  • Explain complex modeling approaches in simple terms and develop compelling narratives that connect modeling results with business problems

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 9+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to solve real-world problems
  • Experience implementing advanced analytical frameworks, and leading projects that span the disciplines of data science and data engineering
  • Experience using data visualization tools and techniques to deliver business insights, and convey information and results clearly
  • Understanding of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) work comprehensively and experience with building MMM solutions
  • Deep knowledge of statistical science, with experience applying advanced statistical techniques to real-world problems
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering
  • Proficient in multiple analytics and programming languages such as Python, R, PySpark, and SQL within both local and cloud environments (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, drive the direction for a project, and recommend methods and tools
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work effectively under strict time constraints
  • Comfortable collaborating across functions (e.g., analytics, engineering, and marketing)

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience (i.e., entertainment, media, marketing, agency, or similar)
  • Strong background in marketing analytics

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $160,000.00-190,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
