Program Manager - Hybrid, Minnetonka, MN

This individual will work with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders to help establish strategic programs and experience delivery initiatives focused on building member confidence and satisfaction. Key initiatives support critical moments within the renewal and annual enrollment period. This leader will be part of a multidisciplinary team that is responsible for shaping and improving the end-to-end member experience. "Member first" thinking will be a key driver to success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Partner and engage leaders to drive and implement member retention initiatives that intersect across business functions such as marketing, CX, operations, digital and product
  • Do right by the member by understanding and prioritizing their needs and wants; leverage member insights to identify and support recommendations
  • Promote a 'digital first' philosophy and approach when designing or solutioning, yet ensure all member preferences are kept in mind
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships across all delivery and external partners
  • Partner with leadership to define the renewal plan, and drive desired engagement in alignment with applicable business goals
  • Provide leadership and guidance over initiative goals, processes and progress to ensure programs and strategies are implemented and maintained effectively; this role is responsible for guiding large, cross functional teams
  • Develop program documentation including, but not limited to: program briefs, timelines, test plans, budgets (if applicable) and all facets of documentation related to program execution
  • Work with data and analytics partners to track performance metrics; develop and maintain regular reporting on strategy, program progress and tactic effectiveness
  • Partner with legal, regulatory and compliance partners to secure required approvals for initiatives as applicable
  • Support and/or maintain member journey maps and workflows

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of relevant program management experience in member/customer experience, marketing, operations, or product development
  • Experience supporting highly matrixed, cross-functional teams through the discovery, strategy, design and implementation of new processes to deliver results
  • Experience in developing and managing program/project plans, roadmaps, and related budgets
  • Proven ability to connect member insight and needs to business priorities; formulate solutions and articulate requirements critical to solving complex problems
  • Proven history of quickly gaining credibility, partnering with business leaders and exhibiting executive presence
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to form productive relationships with teammates and stakeholders to implement and influence change
  • Proven ability to multi-task and lead more than one strategic initiative at a time
  • Ability to work hybrid, onsite at the Minnetonka, MN location up to 3 times a week



The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
