Dispatcher Sprague PA

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and document all information
• Respond to any issues in a timely manner and follow-up by coordinating with appropriate departments and/or customers
• Communicate to fleet truck drivers pickups, deliveries and routes
• Supervise the route and status of field units to prioritize daily schedule
• Maintain contact with all drivers throughout their scheduled shifts to monitor their progress and to troubleshoot any problems that may arise
• Familiarity with the tristate region (WV, OH, PA)
• Relay information to customers to keep them informed of delivery dates, time estimates or issues
• Ensure proper fuel pricing is being updated daily
• Ensure all drivers are completing and returning the correct and accurate paperwork and meter tickets

Education / Experience / Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Class A or B CDL license, HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Solid computer literacy (Word, Excel and Dispatch software)
• Ability to plan and organize workload, multi-task, show high level of accuracy and attention to detail and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA regulations
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, evenings and on-call to support the business
• Ability to lift, carry and push/pull 50lbs
