Our company is one of the most significant publicly traded water, wastewater service and natural gas providers in the U.S. The position will be responsible for assisting in implementation of the Pipeline Safety Management System, as well as driving quality assurance in accordance throughout our gas operations services. Primary work location will be at the Wilkinsburg Office but you are expected to travel around the entire service territory. Essential Duties:
- Assist with developing communication materials and delivering messages to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure successful contractor management needs are in alignment with Peoples' expectations.
- Assist with driving closure to the outlined gap analysis and providing documentation for closure.
- Participate and promote Risk Management initiatives within operations.
- Conduct field reviews and provide coaching on areas of non-compliance.
- Verify core competencies with safety sensitive job tasks and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with data management needs to support the Management System.
- Review current processes for effectiveness and safety. Upon conducting review, collaborate with stakeholders on improving current processes or building new processes as identified.
- Continuously monitor and drive a Culture that embraces risk identification, openness, continuous improvement.
- Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely and professionally) with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- PSMS API 1173Experience preferred
- Change Management experience a plus
- Ability to speak in front of large audiences
- A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED, relevant training or coursework in pipeline inspection or quality control is a plus
- Experience 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Highly motivated and ability to work independently at times
