The Sonoco internship program is designed to "test the waters" of working in a corporate setting within the manufacturing and packaging industries. The Engineering intern will spend time working within one of (or across) our Engineering pillars of Mechanical projects and installations, automation technology, and research and design in capital projects.Previous projects have included: designing and modifying plant equipment, routine inspections and compliance with EHS, assistance in designing and installing capital projects, etc. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry level positions upon graduation. Positions are primarily filled withrising seniorsin their academic programs. This position is located at our Horsham, Sonoco Metal Packaging Plant. All internships last approximately 12 weeks.Your start/end date can vary based on your final exam schedule and relocation needs.Internships are paid, and relocation assistance is provided (U-Haul cargo trailer). We also provide a housing and activity allowance, and Sonoco sponsored activities with other interns and new Emerging Leaders Associates.
