North State Bank has an exciting opportunity for an in-office Associate System Administrator in our Information Technology Department located on corporate campus in North Raleigh. This position assists the Systems Administrator with the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the security, integrity, efficiency, and functionality of Bank-wide information systems and solutions. Serves as primary Systems Administrator in absence of Systems Administrator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists Systems Administrator with the full lifecycle of information systems at the Bank including planning and deployment, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning phases in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with the deployment, maintenance, and support of core processor applications and servers to ensure availability and security of critical core services in accordance with established SLA's, procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with management, maintenance, and support of secure email platform by performing user and policy maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting platform integrations, and message tracking tasks in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with management, maintenance, and support of database servers by performing user and database management tasks, coordinating with vendors of connected applications, and addressing current or potential performance and security issues.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with ensuring appropriate security and performance of Bank systems by monitoring system management, endpoint security, and event logs on servers, workstations, and SaaS solutions.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with management, maintenance, and support of enterprise data access governance, directory security, and privileged access management solutions to proactively identify and respond to threats related to improper access to internal, non-public information.
  • Provides response and remediation of security alerts through direct action and/or in coordination with IT team in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with critical system maintenance by performing testing, staged deployment, and auditing of application and operating system patches.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with ensuring endpoint security products including antivirus, data protection, and monitoring software is properly installed, configured, and maintained in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with ensuring security and integrity of Bank systems by performing routine vulnerability scanning and remediation, password audits, and system configuration audits in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with the management of overall Microsoft 365 tenant by provisioning and managing users, licenses, and resources in the tenant in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with direct management of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, by performing troubleshooting, support, and provisioning of services.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with the administration of Adobe Enterprise cloud environment by managing users, licensing, document storage, and security of the tenant and coordinating training resources with employees as needed.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with management and support of centralized print services and printer, copier fleet in accordance with established SLA's, procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with performing and verifying server, workstation, and SaaS back-ups in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Provides technical support to Bank employees by responding to issues reported through the helpdesk in accordance with established SLA's, procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Coordinates with Infrastructure team for user provisioning in the Bank's VOIP system.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with administration of Mobile Device Management and vendor enrollment platforms by provisioning and managing devices as needed.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with management of e-signature and secure file exchange platforms by provisioning users, licensing, and managing document storage and templates.
  • Performs management of user, computer, and group policy objects in Active Directory and in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Performs password resets as necessary and in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator during disaster recovery planning and testing, by carrying out provisioning, maintenance, and validation of workstation and server images for use in mobile recovery deployments
  • Assists Systems Administrator with management of security certificates by proactively planning and performing certificate installations and renewal tasks
  • Assists Systems Administrator with provisioning and management of users in Board of Directors platform.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with oversight, maintenance, and security of sub-systems supporting remote management and communications of HVAC, access control, and emergency services facilities systems
  • Assists Systems Administrator with asset management tasks including license and inventory validation, as well as management of ITSM platforms.
  • Deploys, configures, maintains, and decommissions end-user workstations in accordance with established procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with the development and maintenance of procedures and build standards by evaluating and validating them against appropriate benchmarks.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with development and maintenance of onboarding and request form documentation for systems within the scope of management.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with ensuring regulatory and policy compliance by developing and maintaining documentation of procedures for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning of servers, end-user workstations, and applications.
  • Oversee videotelephony platform by provisioning users, rooms, and features and managing associated cloud storage as needed.
  • Coordinates with Associate Network & Security Engineer to maintain audio-visual resources and provide assistance to IT Support Specialist during events, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.):

  • An associate degree in an Information Technology-related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years' experience with the following:
    1. Installation, configuration, and management of domain-joined servers and desktops
    2. Installation, configuration, and management of endpoint security solutions
    3. Auditing and remediation of vulnerabilities for domain-joined servers and desktops
    4. User, computer, and Group Policy management in Active Directory
    5. Installation, configuration, and management of Microsoft Office suite
    6. Troubleshooting connectivity issues with Windows hosts
    7. Deployment and management of printers on a Windows Server print server
  • Experience working with multi-factor technologies on hosts, mobile devices, and SaaS.
  • Experience configuring and auditing systems in accordance with established frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience using vulnerability scanning and remediation technologies.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong internal customer service orientation within a team environment.
