Daikin Applied is seeking an Operations Excellence Manager who provides management and guidance of process improvement programs, thus enhancing the skill sets and improvement tools for Daikin Applied Americas. Provides management direction and guidance in the development, implementation, and sustainment of continuous improvement and skills development activities and programs for Daikin Applied. Leads and facilitates process improvements through workshops, Kaizen and scorecard meetings. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN

What you will do:



  • Develops and leads continuous improvement training programs related to Kaizen, quality, problem solving, and team facilitation techniques and tools across Sales, Service and Solutions business unit
  • Create the vision and strategy that drives continuous improvement in terms of cost reduction (CIP), productivity gains, and lean best practices across the business unit to improve Quality and On-Time Delivery
  • Develops and coordinates the implementation of employee technical skills development programs and provides ongoing management oversight and support of these programs
  • Provides coaching experience and subject matter expertise to others working with Kaizen and other Lean methodologies. Collaborates with all operations and support functions to improve their key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Acts as advanced facilitator for Kaizen activities, utilizing Lean methods, Value Stream Maps, SIPOC, RACI and other as needed tools to improve process maturity
  • Lead annual integrated planning (DAA WAY), scorecard and enterprise portfolio activities for the business unit
  • Provide leadership support in the areas of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Establish and implement a process for standard communication of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization and perform periodic audits to ensure the process is consistent
  • Maintains records of all improvement activities and participants

Minimum Qualifications:



  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Operations, and any technical related field
  • Familiar with Kaizen improvement processes
  • 2 years facilitation experience
  • Cross-functional partnerships and relationship building
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000- $130,000 + 10% bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
