General Summary of Position
Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This may include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the project life cycle. Responsible for the day-to-day management of programs and projects

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Builds, develops, and grows internal relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Coordinates project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Coordinates the estimations of resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Develops project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Directs and manages project development from beginning to end. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Acts as liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Tracks project milestones and deliverables. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans. Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field. required

    Experience

    • 1-2 years 2 years work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. required

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI PMP Certification is highly encouraged within 1 Year required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Basic computer skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, motivate, and control resources to achieve specific goals, under the constraints of project scope, time, quality and budget.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; develops own plan for how to accomplish tasks and follows through to completion.
    • Ability to operate under the pressures of project management associated with tight deadlines and schedules.

    This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $131,310
