Job Summary
Accountable for the daily management of equipment, materials, and instruments for assigned specialty team or area within the department. Coordinates equipment, materials, and instruments for procedures and other patient care needs, assuring presence, location and availability. Educates users on equipment and material function and processing. Acts as a contributor to the Value Analysis Committee, as needed. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Collaborates with experts or acts as a resource for specialized equipment or materials in area. Tracks purchase orders for receipt and follow up, as needed.
