Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

Medical Assistant is a skilled healthcare professional providing quality care to patients. The Medical Assistant is specially trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills under the direction of nursing. Support volume and provide timely patient care including rooming patients, working up patients including labs, vitals, height, weight, and providing patient related tasks and administrative tasks such as ordering of unit supplies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma Required.

Preferred:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program Preferred or Medical Technologist experience
• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS Certification Required (American Heart Association Only)
