Department: Retail Loan Servicing Reports to: AVP, Retail Loan Servicing Status: Non-Exempt Grade: 6 Salary Range: $19.00 - $31.86 Location: Pittsfield, MA - 66 West St Purpose/Objective: The Quality Control Specialist - Retail Loan Servicing shall validate loan documentation against the core system for mortgage, construction conversions, consumer loans that are originated according to bank policy and loan terms. In addition, this role will include the quality control review of the following: Collateral discharges, Modifications, ARM Reviews, HELOC End of Draw, MHP interest subsidy reviews, MHP escrow changes, PMI cancellations and critical loan maintenance, this role is key to the department's goal of ensuring the loan system accurately reflects the terms of the loan. The Quality Control Specialist ensures all tasks are performed in compliance with bank policies and procedures. The Quality Control Specialist completes all assigned training and is a subject matter expert in loan servicing related to quality control. Key Accountabilities: * Adequately performs timely reviews of the loans in accordance with the department's procedures and guidelines to ensure customer and bank expectations are met. * Escalates time delays or quality control issues to the team lead or management. * Proactively self-identify areas of improvement and present remediation ideas to the team lead or management, as appropriate and be a part of the overall solution. * Interact positively with loan servicing team members, other business lines, and customers, through oral and written communication. * Remain abreast of loan servicing regulations. * Assist with any other department needs, as requested. * Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties. Education: * High School Diploma or equivalent; banking certifications a plus Experience: * Prior experience in banking, lending, loan servicing, preferred. * Customer service experience in a high-volume transaction environment. Skills & Knowledge: * Knowledge of core loan processing systems, Excel, preferred. * Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment without loss of efficiency or composure.
