Vice President - Service Operations: This is where you come in.

We are seeking a Vice President of Service Operations to lead and enhance our company's service functions. This executive role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service quality, improving operational efficiency, and boosting customer satisfaction across all service areas. The Vice President will work closely with divisions such as Building Controls, Smart Buildings, Service Special Projects, Construction, and Healthcare to implement strategies that reflect MacDonald-Miller's dedication to service excellence. By promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, this leader will keep the company at the industry's forefront, consistently exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
    • Direct and manage daily operations of the Service divisions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
    • Implement best practices and standardized processes to optimize service delivery.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company's vision and objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Service divisions.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to keep the company at the forefront of the market.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets for the Service divisions, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
    • Analyze financial reports to monitor performance and implement corrective actions to address variances.
    • Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
    • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Client Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service.
    • Address client concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

The Vice President of Service Operations reports directly to Travis Eshpeter, President of Building Services, and is an integral part of a collaborative team dedicated to advancing various projects and initiatives that support our company's growth. This prominent position engages with all levels and functions within the organization, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across departments.

You should have...

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, an associate's degree in HVAC Engineering Technology is acceptable.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 15 years in the building services sector, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity overseeing service operations.
  • Operational Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing service operations, particularly focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and automation systems.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in financial management, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss oversight.

Compensation: $200,000 to $220,000 base plus a generous variable compensation package
