We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Human Resources department. This position specifically islocated in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for an onsite HRIS Analyst. The hours are 0700-1600, Monday-Friday.

SUMMARY

Serves as subject matter expert in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) provides data management, and visualization support & analytics to stakeholders across the enterprise. Delivers both the day-to-day function of HRIS and provides data management support to GD NASSCO business units. Knowledge in working with PeopleSoft, Costpoint, and Success Factors.

Reports to the Human Resources Shared Services Manager. Interacts with all levels within the company, outside agencies, and vendors.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Serves as the point of contact for data entry for three separate business units and provides assistance with all questions related to PeopleSoft and escalate when appropriate.
  • Ensure the optimal function of the organization's internal HR information services systems, which may include database management, customization, development, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Creation and delivery of workforce data reports, summaries, and analytics requested by stakeholders across the business, this includes creating, designing, and maintaining an HRIS dashboard.
  • Supports service requests and projects between HR, Information Services, Finance, external entities, and other stakeholders for HR database design, network support, and maintenance and implementation projects.
  • Supports management on structural policy matters related to HRIS.
  • Maintains data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data.
  • Designs user-friendly processes, guidelines, and other training documentation.
  • Design and generate customized HR reports to provide insights into key metrics (employee performance, turnover, etc.)
  • Assist in the development of dashboards and reporting tools for leadership.
  • Assist other HR professionals during high volume times.
  • Work with internal HR professionals and other company employees to utilize reporting functions in PeopleSoft, Cost Point and Success Factors to assist with requested reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS




  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field and 0-4 years of experience.
  • OR five to ten (5 - 10) years of related analytical experience with at least one year of Human Resources experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power Bi.


  • Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail and team collaboration.
  • Strong business analysis and financial skills.


  • Able to source, work with, and combine disparate data sets to answer business questions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in working with PeopleSoft, Costpoint, and Success Factors preferred or proficiency in another HRIS platform.
  • General Knowledge of state and federal labor laws, SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize based on business needs, and work well within a fast-paced, project-focused environment.

Specific visions abilities required by this job include, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to dust and smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position reports to Human Resources Shared Services Manager. This role must demonstrate high integrity, solid work ethics, extreme care to data security and privacy regulations, and a commitment to General Dynamics NASSCO Norfolk.
