Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst
Clearance Required: None
Work Location: Vienna, VA/Remote

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst to analyze, forecast, and optimize financial performance, contributing to strategic decision-making and business operations. This role will focus on complex financial reporting and support business strategy by evaluating the financial impacts of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage project financial program control in budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Work with the contracts department on procurement and subcontract management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Required Qualifications:

Education:



  • A bachelor's degree in finance or business administration (preferred) with 3-5 years of finance experience. A strong foundation in finance and accounting principles is essential for success in this role.


Experience/Skills:



  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Experience with financial analysis tools (e.g., FocusPoint or other ERP).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Cognos).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Experience with ERP or Accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with project/meeting facilitation with directors/executives.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • In addition to technical and financial skills, effective communication, leadership, and strategic thinking are essential for success as a finance analyst in a government contracting company.
  • Ability to read and interpret government contracts.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends is also important to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $94,132.25 - $105,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
