SUMMARY

As a Principal Financial/Data Analyst, you will have the unique opportunity to develop economic analyses for significant and complex projects, shaping Trojan's financial strategy in accordance with the Trojan's commitment to the Federal government. You will create sophisticated long-term financial models with complex assumptions, ensuring accuracy and flexibility in load forecasting and data to drive informed business decisions. You'll be managing daily requisitions, invoices, purchase orders, inventory management, work order data, and all site labor costs associated with ISFSI Operations, interfacing with government regulators and external financial legal firms that assist PGE in the costs associated with the Trojan Decommissioning Fund. A successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of macroeconomics, microeconomics, databases, statistics, regulated utility operations, data analytics, contract negotiations, coupled with expert financial modeling skills, and advanced decision-making abilities. This role offers the chance to directly impact Trojan's license commitment to maintain the decommissioning fund which is PGE's requirement to the Federal government through strategic financial planning, data analyses, tracking and trending, and to present critical insights to both internal/external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and Trojan Co-Owners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Economic Analysis - Leads the development of economic analyses for significant and complex corporate projects and/or functions; provides QA of models and data

Financial Models - Leads the development of longer- term financial models with complex assumptions or relationships (e.g., models that will receive a high level of scrutiny internally and by regulatory groups); develops plans/schedules and leads efforts to ensure schedules are met with project and program teams

Reporting - Leads the development of load- forecasting models, adding functionality and flexibility to the model for increased accuracy and more flexibility; presents the results to internal and external stakeholders; leads in the data gathering, system designs and business processes across silos to feed the load-forecast model

Internal Consulting - Develops standards/procedures for reports documenting analyses; develops and maintains business rules and data hierarchies

External Interaction - Leads effort to provide other departments with comprehensive responses to all planning inquiries; delegate or redirect questions as appropriate. Represent PGE/Trojan when consulting with external financial firms and government agencies

Financial Systems - Presents information and provides advice guidance on complex or escalated information requests for presentation to Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

Education

• Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or other related field or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Typically eight or more years in related field.

Compensation Range:

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
