The Data Solutions Analyst supports data initiatives through the delivery of data pipelines, reports, and dashboards. They ensure data sourced for pipelines, reports, and dashboards they deliver are from quality data sources while also supporting data preparation requirements for analytics team members. The Data Solutions Analyst serves as a front-line data user that supports manual and automated data quality processes to ensure company data is maintained at a high quality. Through this function, the Data Solutions Analyst also recommends methodologies to improve data quality and analytical preparation processes. Additionally, they serve as a source for business requirements for strategic data initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:
Reporting


  • Deliver ad hoc reports and dashboards based on documented business requirements.
    Maintain data and visualization capabilities of developed data assets to ensure quality and support reuse.
  • Support reporting capabilities as a part of a delivery team executing consultative insights and analysis to business decisionmakers.
  • Perform routine quality checks on existing data assets to ensure integrity and support issue troubleshooting and remediation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and requirements on long-term data strategy efforts designed to harden ad hoc reports and dashboards.


Data Wrangling


  • Manipulate and integrate data from existing data products, pipelines, and reports to support data value delivery.
  • Perform ad hoc data quality checks and manual fixes on pipeline data to support data quality management and issue remediation processes.
  • Integrate data from various sources to support documented business requirements.
  • Comply with information lifecycle management and data governance policies, standards, and guidelines.


Decision Science


  • Support Lead Analysts and Information Architects by provisioning data from non-standard sources as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members on business intelligence and visualization requirements to support insight delivery efforts.
  • With direction, delivers insights/analysis on business performance based on KPIs and metrics to support broader analytical initiatives.
  • With supervision, support business insight delivery on internal consulting projects of moderate complexity.

Position Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or other relevant technology degrees or a High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of progressively responsible experience
  • 2 years of Technology experience and proficiency
  • 1 year of experience in data structures and data modeling
  • 1 year of experience in data visualization techniques experience (Power BI, Tableau)

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1 year of experience documenting and assisting product owners with creating system/business requirements
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office and expanded product lines (Visio, MS Project, SharePoint)
  • 1 year of experience in banking or related industries
    Experience in data profiling, statistical analysis, data analysis, and data standardization / cleansing techniques
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write sophisticated queriers across large, complex data sets
  • Experience using statistical techniques to discover the root cause of data quality issues and recommend remediation options
  • Ability to analyze data trends, identify patterns and proactively address potential data quality issues
  • Experience with Collibra, Informatica, and Snowflake (Python, R is a plus)

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
