Your role in our success will be:

The Warehouse Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the operations of the FPU and FCG Warehouse functions and Material Procurement to include developing processes and policies to improve daily operations (warehousing, material procurement and delivery, inventory, logistics and vendor relationships). The role manages Financial forecasting and budgeting, materials planning, payables and receivables, warehouse personnel and facilities; provides input, supports the launching
and operation of the Enterprise Resource Planning software.

What you'll be working on:




  • Liaises with the Director of Operations and division Leadership on a variety of materials and operations needs to ensure efficient Operations.


  • Oversees and administers all material related processing needs including ordering, packing slips, invoicing, account allocations, payables, statements, accruals, warehousing and inventory management as well as stock methods and metrics.

  • Consults and meets with vendors to forecast and order materials, coordinate deliveries, allocations, rush orders, material tracking and data integration as well as new product offerings and ventures.


  • Forecasts expenditures/material requirements, prepares related budgets and provides feedback to Finance, Accounting and Operations teams on needs and performance.
  • Consults regularly with warehouse leads to discuss, analyze, and develop actionable plans for material management and loss assessment / prevention. Advises and assists Team members on material and equipment related needs.
  • Oversees distribution, warehousing, receiving and shipping in order to ensure consistent operations across warehouse locations. Integrates new business acquisitions into our process flows.

  • Oversees, manages and assists on logistics and documentation of Materials for our various company locations, Contractors, or job sites to ensure efficient material provision.



  • Recruits, trains and coaches employees to ensure smooth running of operations and alignment to Chesapeake policies.



  • Reviews and prepares workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.


  • Liaises with internal auditors and accounting for quarterly and annual audits (inventory count).



Who you are:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: Five (5) years demonstrated warehouse management experience, preferably in the Natural Gas Distribution industry. Three (3) years experience in customer service and management. Preferred: Experience with warehouse regulations
  • Valid Driver's License (Class E)
  • Forklift Certification
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Excel, Knowledge of SAP, Clear and demonstrated knowledge and ability to understand business functions, and related materials, tools, and Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory
