Job Description Summary
Under guidance of the Shift Manager, this position supervises a group of Operations Foremen, ensuring subordinates perform their jobs efficiently, safely and in a timely manner. Communicates vessel operation sequence and stevedoring requirements to subordinates. Executes the planned yard sequence and advises planners on information required. Job Description PURPOSE: The Assistant Manager of Optimization is responsible for forecasting and allocating resources with the objective of maintaining a safe work environment, maximizing marine, yard, gate and rail productivity, controlling costs and meeting terminal and operational requirements. Also responsible for continuously improving the processes actioned and services provided to all internal and external customers. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
