Summary
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff. Essential Functions Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records. Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff. Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow. May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments. Yes Education Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Registered Nurse [RN - State License] required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS Certification] preferred Basic Life Support [BLS] Certificate preferred Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] preferred Neonatal Resuscitation Certification [NRP] preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification preferred Experience Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
