Seneca Federal Solutions is seeking a Security Clerk in Silver Spring, MD to join our team providing around the clock security support to a government customer.

There are multiple shifts for this position:

Monday - Friday- 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, 2:00 pm- 10:30 pm, 10:00 pm - 6:30 am.

Saturday & Sunday - 6:00 am - 6:30 pm & 6:00 pm - 6:30 am

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Assist with managing and monitoring policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods to prevent compromise or loss of information or material.
  • Support government security personnel with maintaining the staff duty desk and visitor's desk, to include issuance of visitor badging, logging visitors into the facility access system, and contacting the escorts for the visitor.
  • Assist with physical security, surveys, and inspections.
  • Assist with monitoring Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems (IDS) to deter theft or damage to facilities.
  • Monitor two closed circuit TV systems.
  • Dispatch emergency services on alarms that necessitate action.
  • Assist in the preparation of incoming and outgoing Visit Authorization Requests (VARs).
  • Maintain security records, binders, and reports.
  • Assist with security support for conferences.
  • Generate reports for all alarmed facilities.
  • Provide security updates as required to shift supervisor, the security office, and government management.
  • Monitor virtual overwatch alarm system.
  • Serve as alternate fire warden.


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED
  • US Citizen
  • Secret clearance
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Ability to write clear and accurate detailed reports and complete daily shift log.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds and walk moderate distances to perform security patrols.


Salary at Seneca is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The range of this position in other geographic locations may differ. The projected compensation range for this position is below. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.

The projected compensation range for this position is:
$40,000 $45,000 USD
