Overview

The Training Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to support organizational objectives. This role involves designing instructional materials, delivering training sessions, and assessing the effectiveness of training initiatives. The Training Specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and stakeholders to ensure training programs align with best practices and organizational goals. This position specifically supports users of the Army Training Information System (ATIS), ensuring they receive effective training to maximize system utilization and efficiency.



Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and deliver training programs for ATIS users and stakeholders.
  • Assess training needs and develop customized learning solutions.
  • Create instructional materials, job aids, and e-learning modules.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions using various instructional methodologies.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Maintain training records and report on program success and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging training technologies, and instructional design methodologies.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to enhance knowledge retention and application.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align training programs with organizational objectives.
  • Support change management initiatives through targeted training and communication efforts.
  • Develop and deliver ATIS-specific training modules to ensure users understand system functionalities and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing user support and troubleshooting guidance for ATIS users.
  • Support testing of training content.
  • Support Agile Team operations.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in training development and facilitation.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools such as Moodle or Blackboard.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and SMEs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training development
  • DoD clearance required.
  • Must be able to travel to in person PI Planning events once per quarter.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Training and Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Hands on experience supporting Army agile software delivery.

Target Salary Range: $61,000 - 105,000. Disclaimer: The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
