THE POSITION

Are you ready to take your career up a notch? Consider an exciting Auditor position with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). This position is responsible for performing compliance and financial related audits of slot machine licensees consistent with the licensees' internal control systems and audit protocols, the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, PGCB regulations, and technical standards. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Auditor with the Gaming Control Board, your focus will be to perform compliance audits of slot machine licensees to determine compliance with prescribed standards and perform various audits of accounting records of licensees as required. Audits will relate to statutory compliance and general accounting practices for a single licensee. You may work alone under supervision, or as a member of an audit team, receiving supervision from the Audit Manager who reviews work through conferences and a review of written reports. Communication is key as contact with licensees comprises an important part of the work. Fieldwork is ordinarily performed independently within the outlines of established policies and procedures and an approved audit program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: The starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, or Finance; or
  • Four (4) years of accounting and/or auditing experience with fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
