The Opportunity

  • Accounts Payable Team Lead at a growth-oriented energy company
  • Exposure to full cycle Accounts Payable processes
  • Cross Training for future growth
  • Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, this position will provide leadership to an accounts payable transactional team of 2-4 members

Key activities include:

  • Provide accounts payable support across all of Par's scope of operations
  • Assist Shared Services Manager in leadership of processing team, including prioritizing, training, and direction of daily assignments
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of invoices including resolution of complex transactions through trouble shooting and root cause identification
  • Work interactively with all P2P stakeholders (vendors, procurement, business contacts)
  • Maintain and improve AP processes, including automation and integration with other accounting systems, to improve efficiency and reduce errors
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives as needed
  • Assist with month end close activities
  • Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Create, distribute, and analytics of KPIs and data requests
  • Collaborate and build positive rapport with all levels of staff and management across functional areasrequired

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a shared services environment is required
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP required
  • Experience with SAP and VIM Open Text required
  • MS Excel, Outlook, and Word required
  • Experience with accounting software systems and application software required
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form required
  • Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills preferred
