Job Description

Torch Technologies is looking for individuals with experience and interest in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications and aerodynamic analysis to be a part of our team as an Entry-Level Aerospace Engineer. Your mission will be to conduct aerodynamic studies of U.S. Army flight systems using CFD.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Construct CFD meshes using tools such as the Pointwise mesh generation software.





  • Obtain CFD solutions on proposed and existing U.S. Army flight systems using flow solvers such as Kestrel, US3D, Star-CCM+, DPLR3D, and OVERFLOW.





  • Extract, analyze, and document the aerodynamic data that is obtained.




What we're looking for:




  • An Aerospace Engineer experienced in CFD applications in the subsonic to hypersonic speed regimes.





  • Familiarity with aerodynamic data and analyses.



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/MechanicalEngineering, a related field or equivalent experience from an accredited university.



  • Candidates with an expected graduation date of May 2025may still apply and be considered for the position.





  • Experience in CFD applications and analysis.





  • An active, Secret security clearance is preferred. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.

Travel: Yes, 0-10%
