Job Overview

The Planning and Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for the effective planning, scheduling, and allocation of resources across multiple engineering projects to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and communication skills.

A Day In The Life

* Develop and maintain detailed schedules for engineering projects, including all critical milestones.

* Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to allocate necessary resources and personnel.

* Monitor project timelines and schedules, adjusting as needed in response to any changes or delays.

* Assist in project planning and resource forecasting for engineering projects.

* Analyze project performance data to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for improvement.

* Prepare and present regular reports on project status and resource utilization to management.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in project execution.

* Capture and calculate capacities vs. workloads to assist in utilization of resources.

* Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement solutions with input from others.

* Maintain relationship with customers via phone calls and e-mail correspondence.

* Support in the creation of new projects within multiple software platforms.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Three to five years experience in planning or production control in an engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in project management or scheduling, preferably in an engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to think critically and use data to make sound decisions.
  • Track record of influencing others and working together to achieve common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to find root cause.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
