About the role:

ThisAdvanced Project Managerwill manage projects within the Global Operations Services organization where we design, fabricate and install fuel handling equipment for operating or new nuclear power plants. You will be responsible for PM processes from low to high complexity leading small to large sized teams, between 2 - 20 members that may include global project controls. You may serve as a Technical Inputs Lead for proposal projects like Engineering, Field Services, Software, Innovation/Product Development, and Process Improvement.

You will report to the Manager of Projects for the Shoreview Component Manufacturing Plant. You will work hybrid based at Shoreview, MN outside of Minneapolis. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.


Responsibilities:


  • Process for low to high complexity projects or a portfolio of lower complexity projects, leading medium or large sized project teams averaging 2-20 members



  • Support proposal process upcoming opportunities, as assigned



  • Oversee cost estimates and offers for operating plants support and modifications, and support customer negotiations



  • Project planning like authoring plans, developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines as well as, risk and partner registers per the Westinghouse PM Requirements (WPMR)



  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners



  • Follow an integrated change management process



  • Coordinate project communications ensuring understanding



  • Document records in databases and systems for transmission of project correspondence and documentation



  • Close projects archiving work systems and final project quality assessment identifying opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance



  • Identify opportunities for growth, improvement or recovery opportunities to promote successful project delivery



  • Analyze contract requirements and help develop project-specific deliverables to promote successful project implementation, to enhance positive customer relations and increase/maintain profit margin



  • Support financial planning by forecasting spending




Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' supporting utilities with plant engineering support projects



  • Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.



  • Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge or willing to receive PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other approved equivalent certification is required. Exemptions may be provided based on prior training and work experience.



  • Knowledge of nuclear power plant, familiar with utility business practices like utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices



  • Transform data to information for reporting and presentations



  • SAP, Primavera (P6), MS Project, MS SharePoint, Active Risk Manager or similar



  • Minor travel (5-10%) including possible international
