AI ML Software Eng III (Revenue Engineering) REMOTE

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team working on the Image Genius project. This role involves developing and integrating advanced image processing and AI technologies, including OCR and LLM processing via AWS Bedrock, to classify documents, highlight key phrases and leverage this data across Myriad's business applications and operational workflows. They should possess a strong understanding of product development and a drive to continually improve solutions.

The Revenue Engineering team at Myriad Genetics develops enterprise services to streamline and automate Revenue Cycle processes (Billing, Authorization, Revenue Accounting). We are a high-performing team with a culture of flexible, pragmatic problem-solving to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for image processing and AI integration.


  • Implement and optimize OCR and LLM processing workflows using AWS Bedrock.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.


  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback and ensure best practices in software development.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to image processing and AI integration.


  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in image processing, AI, and related technologies.


  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.

Qualifications


  • Exposure to Computer Science and Engineering as a discipline. A BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience


  • 5-8 years of industry experience in a high-level language, preferably Python, Kotlin or Java


  • Experience with prompt engineering.


  • Experience with AWS Lambda and DynamoDB.


  • Strong skills in model evaluation and model performance evaluation.


  • Extensive experience with image processing techniques and tools.


  • In-depth knowledge of OCR technologies and LLM processing.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is a plus.


  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries is a plus.
