The position serves as a Digital Engagement Specialist in the General and International Collections Directorate (GICD) of Researcher Collections Services (RCS) and reports directly to the Director of GICD. The Digital Engagement Specialist leads efforts to attract and inspire new audiences to use the digital collections of the Library of Congress. Works collaboratively and as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to identify strategies, partnerships, and resources to promote the agency as a "Library for All", inspiring more users to consult and use our resources. Working with a wide variety of institutional stakeholders, including reference, curatorial, and custodial staff, digital services staff, communications and outreach staff, and others, the Specialist will assess and enhance the user experience with the digital collections. Through broad public engagement and community based efforts, will improve the Library's capacity to provide services online and remotely, with particular reference to those who are infrequent users or nonusers or traditionally underserved.
