  • The Procedures & Training Coordinator (PTC) aids the management team in establishing, maintaining and tracking the required training and qualifications program for the Turbine Generator & Fleet Services (TGFS) organization. The TGFS training program is based on the necessary training and qualifications required for exempt and craft personnel in TGFS to successfully support customers in Nuclear, RRE, and PGO. Additionally, the PTC position aids TGFS management in the development, creation, revision/updates, and formatting of procedures, checklists, and technical documents. The PTC position will also aid TGFS management with establishing & tracking additional technical or training programs (offsite or onsite) based on recent events, lessons learned, corrective actions, or relevant Operating Experience.

PTC Job Responsibilities:

  • Owns the TGFS Nuclear Training Program Document, including periodic reviews to make approved changes

  • Coordinates with Nuclear Training Management teams to keep affected TGFS employees in compliance with required nuclear training and qualifications.

  • Maintains Nuclear Training & Qualification guides and documentation for all of TGFS, including providing original forms to Nuclear Training.

  • Manages and updates TGFS training tracking databases and visuals, using MS Access and PowerBI,

  • Coordinates with Nuclear, RRE, and PGO Training groups to ensure TGFS training and qualification plans comply with standards, Including initial MEP training or initial employee training at Kings Mountain.

  • Establishes and maintains, as appropriate, job performance measure (JPM) lists for each TGFS subgroup; track JPM completions and gaps.

  • Prepares requests for proposal of technical training programs that are contracted, including receiving and analyzing proposals, consulting with TGFS management and recommending selection of the provider.

  • Serves as liaison to all Generation training groups (Nuclear and RRE) to establish necessary technical training utilizing internal subject matter experts to develop and validate, as necessary.

  • Provides a process (e.g., Teams or face-to-face meetings) for TGFS management to set training priorities and discuss future needs.

  • Participates in all NOS (Nuclear Oversight) training program audits; represent TGFS as point of contact during audits

  • Supports development of new checklists, procedures, programs, and other technical documentation to support TGFS work activities, including revisions/updates to existing documentation.

Basic/ Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and 5 years of related work experience

  • In lieu of associate's degree, HS Diploma / GED and 9 years of related work experience

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products, Power platform, use of data bases, MyLearning and Nuclear LMS.

  • Demonstrate ability to Organize/facilitate/lead meetings or ILT's such as annual Continuing Training, Power industrial trucks, fire extinguisher practical, HP training, or any additional training in which TGFS management requests.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with nuclear training and qualification program(s)

  • Previous experience with the process of entering qualifications into MYQUALS

  • Previous procedure writing experience

  • At least 5 years related work experience

  • General knowledge of power plant operations and/or maintenance experience

Working Conditions:

  • Normal work performed in an office environment.

  • Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility.

  • Periodic travel to generation sites to observe or deliver training

  • Could be asked to travel to Carolinas Nuclear sites or RRE Generation sites in any region.

  • May be required to climb stairs, stoop, bend or squat.

  • There is potential exposure to high stress situations and requirement to be available for emergency response
