Position Description

The Field Controls Engineer Senior is an advanced, highly skilled role responsible for overseeing and executing complex projects at customer data centers. This position requires experience in data center operations, expert-level BMS, PMS, and critical cooling system troubleshooting skills, and mentorship abilities. The Field Controls Engineer Senior serves as a technical authority onsite, providing guidance to both customer teams and junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute complex controls install, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting projects for data center systems with complete independence.
  • Act as a technical advisor for large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Service as a point of contact for customer on complex technical issues, providing expert solutions and recommendations.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee less experienced Field Engineers and Technicians, fostering skill development and ensuring project success.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and deliver technical reports and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Experience of BMS/DCIM, and common communication protocols such as Modbus and BACnet.
  • Field experience with DDC controllers.
  • Field experience of Tridium Niagra 4 software and controllers is preferred.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting, data center systems, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment
