Schedule: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm, Monday - Wednesday

Your role with us

As the Imaging Shift Lead, you'll provide both technical expertise and frontline leadership to ensure high-quality imaging services and efficient daily operations. You'll be a key point of contact for staff and providers, helping to maintain a positive and productive environment. In this hybrid role, you'll balance hands-on imaging work with leadership responsibilities including workflow coordination, quality oversight, and team support. This position is ideal for an experienced radiologic technologist ready to take on a leadership role and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Delivering High-Quality Imaging: Perform diagnostic imaging exams using appropriate exposure factors based on patient anatomy, condition, and cooperation. Ensure complete, accurate, and diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Technical Oversight: Troubleshoot equipment issues and guide staff on proper use of all diagnostic imaging equipment. Determine when emergency service is needed and respond appropriately in the absence of management.
• Team Leadership & Workflow Management: Organize and delegate tasks to maintain smooth and efficient patient flow. Manage add-on exams and schedule adjustments in real-time to meet clinical demands.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of work performed by technologists and support staff to ensure compliance with department and organizational standards of care, safety, and professionalism.
• Professional Communication: Serve as a point of contact for questions or concerns during the shift, facilitating issue resolution with a professional and collaborative approach. Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Scheduling & Staff Support: Assist with planning and implementing staff schedules. Offer coaching and feedback to support staff development, including input for performance evaluations.
• Departmental Engagement: Support hospital initiatives including performance improvement, cost-effective resource use, and employee engagement. Contribute to process improvements and share feedback with leadership regarding workflow or operational needs.

Required qualifications

• Radiology Technologist license by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
