Senior Software Java Developer

DSA, INC. is seeking a Secret-Cleared Senior Java Software Developer to support our CECOM Mission. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java development, microservices architecture, Agile methodologies, and experience with modern software testing and cybersecurity practices.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technical discipline + 5 years of relevant experience, all within the last 5 years.
  
  
  
  • Five (5) additional years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications/relevant experience may be substituted for the degree (Total 10 years of experience).
  
  
  
  
• Experience providing expertise and recommendations for implementing and using software applications and IT system products.
• Experience with technologies including: JavaScript, Microservices (Containerization: Docker/Kubernetes), relational SQL databases/CRUD, and React.
• Experience with Agile best practices.

• Experience supporting the United States Army.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge and ability to embrace AI, with experience using AI to automate job tasks.

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests during software and system development to ensure they are operational and effective prior to release.
• Work with developers and stakeholders to get an understanding of what the system is meant to do, its functionality, and who the end-users are.
• Decompose complex or large systems into smaller parts to test.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and detailed test scripts.
• Use COTS testing software and frameworks to perform automated testing and reporting.
• Perform a variety of test types, including unit, functional, security, regression, limit, integration, stress, performance, and scalability.
• Report progress, risks, and bugs identified to the software development and project management teams.
• Perform testing in a variety of platforms and components, including networks, operating systems, and applications.
• Understand, follow, and promote the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto.
• Understand, follow, and promote continuous cybersecurity risk management.
