General Hours: Sunday through Wednesday 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Full time 40-hour work week (some overtime as needed)

Transportation Claims Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates information between National Beef Departments for overage, short, and damaged (OS&D) load issues

• Collect detailed information of OS&D from carriers and/or customers

• Ensure all Technical Services guidelines followed in the initial assessment of damages process to determine wholesomeness of product

• Collect all necessary information and assist with making any necessary arrangements for outside services

• Distributes information to appropriate National Beef departments

• Advise customer service of any delays

• Determine the value of products and transportation cost

• Communicate re-consignments with carrier and authorize additional freight charges

• Process, document. disburse, and maintain all records regarding OS&D loads

• Arrange transportation to pick up products upon request

• Point of contact for National Beef Departments and Transportation Carrier representative when all normal service options have been exhausted and resolution has not been reached

• Other duties as assigned

This is an on-site position.

Qualified Candidates for the Transportation Claims Coordinator position should possess the following:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to effectively organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work in stressful circumstances and interface with various personalities and levels of authority

• Reasoning and problem-solving ability

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required (minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent)

• General office skills

• Professional Appearance

• Good Work Ethic

• Customer service experience preferred

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel
