West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a Neuropsychologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

The position will include clinical, teaching/supervision, and research responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities focus on neuropsychological evaluations of a rich variety of neurological, neurosurgical, medical and psychiatric populations. This is a clinical position with strong teaching and supervision expectations within our well-known, training-focused APA-accredited clinical psychology internship, which has a neuropsychology focus and our APPCN postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. Additional teaching opportunities exist with medical students and residents within the department and broader Health Sciences Center on topics relevant to psychology/neuropsychology. Opportunities for research are varied and imaging research may exist; the Center for Advanced Imaging at WVU includes a Siemens 3.0 Tesla magnet.

Applicants must have completed an APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology graduate program, with an APA/CPA accredited internship with a neuropsychology focus, and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. Applicants must be eligible to sit for ABPP in clinical neuropsychology. Immediate eligibility for licensure in West Virginia is required. For appointment at the Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) in neuropsychology is required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute guides a team of 280 dedicated faculty in providing compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve. The Institute spearheads efforts to develop innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions ranging from Alzheimer's to Parkinson's; autism to stroke; and paralysis to chronic pain, addictions, and traumatic brain injury.

Neuroscience, including behavioral health and addiction, is one of WVU Medicine's Signature Programs - areas of opportunity that allow WVU Medicine to target major health disparities more aggressively in the state and continue to deliver real medical solutions that will have the most resounding impact on the citizens of West Virginia.

Within the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, there is a strong collaborative focus on clinical service, teaching, and scholarship among psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers. Additionally, faculty frequently collaborate with other medical school departments. The department strongly encourages professional development with support/mentoring for development of clinical services, improved teaching/training, and scholarship.
