Job Title: Production Specialist

Reports To: Area Supervisor

Department: Production

Summary: LEVEL 1 Production Specialist (3rd Shift)

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Level 1 Production Specialist role encompasses several job functions within the Production area. It is the intent that, as the Production Specialist develops, they will learn all these roles to be a Level 1 Production Specialist:

Administrative Duties

  • Basic computer skills and understanding of RF device.
  • Understanding of current ERP system
  • SOP document Access
  • Safety Training Requirements and Training Completion
  • Accessing SDS sheets

Warehouse

  • Forklift Certification
  • Understand all methods of moving material using RF device inside the production and warehouse areas.
  • Properly build material on pallets to ship to our customers.
  • Ensure scanning accuracy of all product movements.
  • Performs routine housekeeping functions.

Repack and Sampling

  • Ensures sampling procedures are followed.
  • Adheres strictly to PPE requirements and container specifications.
  • Conducts repacks as required per instructions.
  • Ensures accuracy of location and weight of items.
  • Perform grounding and bonding functions properly.
  • Properly label all containers.
  • Knowledge of all current packaging and size selections.
  • Demonstrate proper usage of the weight scales.
  • Understand the scanning functions on how to process repacks.
  • Performs routine housekeeping functions.
  • Demonstrate how to perform the repack process for sales orders and stock orders.
  • Follow all Food Safety requirements in the repack process.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training.

Language Ability:

Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, inventory/database software and the internet. Necessary skills include; contact management systems, database software, design software, spreadsheet and word processing software
