Start Date 03/01/2025 Contract CFT HSM-41 North Island Salary Range $43.11/hour Posting Date 01/24/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full Time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II (Airframes) will maintain and repair various aircraft systems, including landing gear, hydraulics, engines, avionics, armament and more. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Repair and rebuild aircraft systems including engines, avionics, hydraulics, and structural components. Perform troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs as required. * Manage and supervise mechanics, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with safety standards. * Approve time cards for team members. * Interpret technical manuals and data to determine repair methods. Perform various types of inspections on engines, systems, and components. * May specialize in specific areas such as engine, airframe, electrical, or armament repair. Will be responsible for modifications, inspections, and keeping aircraft in safe, mission-ready condition. * Ensure that Technical Directives (TDs) are followed for aircraft maintenance and equipment management. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. * Ensure that all safety and quality procedures are adhered to, including hazardous materials handling, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention, and completing required training. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in rotary aircraft maintenance, specifically with the H-60 series (Including experience as a CDQAR/QAR). * Experience in US Navy aircraft maintenance preferred. * Experience with MH60-R aircraft preferred. * At least two (2) years of management experience overseeing a team of mechanics. * Ability to interpret complex technical manuals, perform inspections, and use specialized tools/equipment. * Ability to obtain required qualifications such as CDQAR and complete aviation ordnance qualifications. * Ability to obtain a Tier-3 Background Investigation and possibly a secret clearance. * Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment: however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per- week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking. Working Conditions: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to meet physical requirements for the position. * Work is conducted in a maintenance environment, requiring lifting, use of various tools and working under deadlines.
