Start Date 03/01/2025 Contract CFT HSM-41 North Island Salary Range $41.73/hour Posting Date 01/24/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full Time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for an Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment (ASFE) II to work with and maintain aircraft survival and flight equipment, including helmets, parachutes, anti-G suits, harness assemblies, life rafts, survival kits, oxygen masks, and emergency signaling devices. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, modifying, maintaining, installing and ensuring the serviceability of various aircraft survival and flight equipment. This role requires proficiency in mechanical and electrical repair, as well as knowledge of pyrotechnics, explosives, and aircraft egress systems. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Familiarity with assigned aircraft and in-depth knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and characteristics of aircraft survival and flight equipment. * Perform operational and circuit checks on survival radios, beacons, and other emergency signaling/communication systems. * Utilize knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair techniques, as well as aircraft egress sytems and pyrotechnic/explosive devices. * Operate and maintain survival and flight equipment. * Participate in safety programs. * Uphold M1's quality standards. * Complete all required training. * Ensure safety and cleanliness in the workplace and contribute to Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention. Qualifications and Experience: * A completed "A" School for Aircrew Survival Equipment (PR). * ALSS Configuration Management Course (C-555-0056) * Minimum of three (3) years of recent O or I-level experience with H-60S/R/F/H aircraft. * Collateral Duty Inspectors Quality Assurance (CDQAR) certification. * Knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair procedures, pyrotechnics, explosive devices, and aircraft egress systems. * Prior US Navy experience in aircraft maintenance and repair preferred. * Proof of completed "A" School for Aircrew Survival Equipment (PR). * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC). * Successful completion of a US Government background check (Tier -3 background investigation). * Must have a valid state driver's license. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. * Must be able to work with a diverse team, collaborating with others from different cultures and backgrounds. * Ordnance certification shall be required to obtain. * Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment: however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per- week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking. Working Conditions: * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * This role involves kneeling, standing, walking, sitting and constant use of speech and hearing for communication. * Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing tasks. * Ability to work on foreign soil and interact with personnel from diverse backgrounds. * Constant mental alertness and ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure. * Ability to meet medical exam requirements for the position.
