Start Date 03/01/2025 Contract CFT HSM-41 North Island Salary Range $43.11/hour Posting Date 01/24/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full Time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrician) who will perform maintenance on various aircraft systems including landing gear, flight controls, engines, avionics, armament and other mechanical and structural components. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Works on aircraft systems including aircraft engines, gearboxes, avionics, structural components, hydraulic units, surface controls, and more. * Utilizes hand tools, power tools, and machinery like welders, drills and rivet guns. * Perform inspections on aircraft (including 175-hour, progressive, isochronal, and phase inspections). * Works on engine components to detect cracks, corrosion, oil leaks, etc. * Adjusts, repairs and replaces electrical systems, aircraft accessories, and avionics. * Performs pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight maintenance, and supports aircraft systems like gearboxes, brakes, and moving parts. * Manages a team of mechanics, monitors progress, and ensures tasks are completed efficiently. * Approves timecards for mechanics under assigned leadership. * May specialize in specific areas like engine, airframe, electrical or armament repair. * Ensures compliance with Technical Directives (TDs) for aircraft and support equipment. * Participates in the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) program. * Handles hazardous materials and complies with safety regulations. * May participate in the Aviation Gas-Free program. * Completion of qualifications for various programs and support equipment. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of five (5) years of recent H-60S/R/F/H aircraft maintenance or equivalent rotary aircraft maintenance experience. * CDQAR (Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative) or equivalent experience. * Experience with MH60-R aircraft highly preferred. * Minimum of two (2) years management experience. * In-depth knowledge of aircraft technical data, manuals, and publications. * Must be able to work with international teams and in diverse cultural environments. * Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and aircraft maintenance systems. * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) and a favorable background investigation. * Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment: however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per- week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking. Working Conditions: * Ability to lift up to 50lbs. * Frequent sitting and the use of computers for data interpretation and record-keeping. * Ability to work under strict deadlines with mental alertness. * Ability to meet medical and physical standards.
