Zayo is seeking a Senior Transformation Manager to be responsible for driving and overseeing the ideation of large-scale strategic transformation initiatives across the organization. Our Senior Transformation Manager role requires close collaboration with product, platform, and business architects to integrate transformational change opportunities into the demand management process.

The Senior Transformation Manager will engage with senior leadership, portfolio owners, and stakeholders to align on goals, facilitate process mapping, and manage key transformational efforts to ensure strategic business objectives are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, process management, and continuous improvement, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead the integration of key transformational change opportunities into the demand management process.

  • Engage with senior leadership, Portfolio Managers, Business Relationship Managers, and stakeholders to communicate demand status, prioritization decisions, and the transformational impacts across programs.

  • Establish frameworks for decision-making, risk management, and communication to ensure transparency and alignment across the organization.

  • Facilitate the mapping of processes for undefined or complex activities, particularly those related to transformational change, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Process Management:

  • Collaborate with process improvement teams to map current processes, define future processes, and identify transformational concepts to redefine the approach to business operations.

  • Lead performance analysis to identify key problems to be solved and uncover opportunities for transformational change.

  • Develop lean business cases and define KPIs, high-level scope, and critical success factors to guide architecture discussions and design.

  • Secure finance approval for lean business cases, ensuring sufficient business value to proceed with transformation initiatives.

Stakeholder and Change Management:

  • Organize and facilitate Discovery kickoff meetings to align sponsors on goals, roles, and expectations for the program.

  • Engage with stakeholders to obtain feedback, reach consensus, and define clear, actionable problem statements that ensure focus and alignment across the program.

  • Decompose the transformation charter into specific program or project charters that clarify scope, business needs, and potential impact, while ensuring the definition of success criteria and desired outcomes.

Collaboration and Architecture Leadership:

  • Lead efforts, in partnership with architecture, Value Streams, and SMEs, to define system and initiative architecture, identify impacted Value Streams, and outline dependencies.

  • Support Architecture Review Board (ARB) approval processes by ensuring that initiatives meet architecture standards and guidelines.

  • Facilitate and manage the process of decomposing the transformational charter into separate program/project charters, ensuring alignment and clarity on deliverables.

Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

  • Prepare for and facilitate Stage Gate approvals to ensure the program meets all necessary requirements before advancing to the next stage of execution.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by tracking and evaluating progress, identifying lessons learned, and incorporating feedback into future transformation efforts.

Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience in integrating transformational change opportunities into business processes and demand management.

  • Strong background in process management and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership, portfolio managers, and business stakeholders to align on goals and drive business transformation.

  • Experience with developing business cases, defining KPIs, and guiding architecture discussions and design.

  • Expertise in change management, including stakeholder engagement and facilitation of decision-making processes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop actionable solutions.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar) and business process mapping tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines while maintaining program quality and scope.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement certification.

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and their application in transformation initiatives.

  • Experience in managing large, cross-functional teams, with demonstrated leadership skills in matrixed environments.

Base Salary Range: $95,800 - $150,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
