Job Description
Essential Functions: The successful candidate will be a licensed clinician who possesses specific interests and experience in providing services which support the mission of an active university counseling center. The Counseling Center is currently experiencing growth with the addition of new staff positions. These positions facilitate level of care triage appointments (Brief Screenings) as a first point of contact for students seeking mental health services at the Counseling Center. These positions are responsible for connecting students to resources and services that are the best fit for their needs, both within and outside the Counseling Center. Inquiries and applications from professionals representative of all aspects of diversity, as well as from persons possessing a range of professional experience, are encouraged. Job Duties Include:
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal, oral and written skills; organizational skills and attention to detail; flexibility to adapt to clinical changes and needs of the Counseling Center (procedures, appointment availability, etc.); value for a multifaceted approach involving strongly linked clinical and training efforts; a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, campus departments, and student groups; a commitment to actively engage in practice with diverse populations; interpersonal flexibility with a sense of humor; an awareness of the importance of life balance; and a commitment to the importance of a developmental perspective of counseling services.
