Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is$132,400.00 to$220,700.00. This position is eligible for participation in our short-term incentive program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

The range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects the potential base pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part, on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills. The anticipated compensation range described above is subject to change and the compensation ultimately paid may be higher or lower than the range described above.

Position Details

You will focus on delivering people solutions with emphasis on Strategic HR Planning and Change Management. It sets the standards of excellence for HR policies and practices for a given department or functional area and maintains the integrity of these practices while continuing to build capabilities. It serves as a business in setting the People Strategies for the respective business unit/ functional area it supports. You will consult with business partners to build people strategies to guide our culture while meeting the needs of our talent at a strategic advantage.

You will report to the VP, Human Resources. This is a hybrid role with expectations to work in Lake Forest, IL and Chicago, IL offices of Grainger.

You Will
  • Implement HR related programs
  • Succession planning and leadership development
  • Performance management in partnership with Team Member Experience/Employee Relations team
  • Strategic and development responsibilities
  • Strategic HR planning
  • Lead corporate programs and roll outs
  • Guide strategy around culture and employee engagement
  • Change management responsibilities for your department
  • Lead a team; bring managerial expertise to evaluate staffing recommendations internally for the role's HR team and for the aligned partners
  • Partner with the business to develop workforce strategy
  • Participate in targeted talent programs (interviewing and talent selection)
You Have
  • Master's degree in organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years progressive leadership in business or human resource management roles; previous change management (growth, restructuring, acquisition), M&A, and global experience Preferred and
  • Experience leading large scale, complex change programs.
  • Previous consulting experience providing recommendations to both corporate and field clients.
  • Experience in a leadership liaison role between Corporate and Field based functions..
  • Have input in decisions that have influence on the broader business.
  • Focus on large business organizations that are complex in scope and size.
  • Command and presence: demonstrated experience influencing and advising Senior Executives-might handle second layer of VPs.
  • Non-HR business or global experience (a big plus).
