Inventory Control Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Executes cycle and help identify variance records. Serves as the primary on site staff responsible for training and executing cycle count schedules. Ensures areas out of tolerance, receive root cause, reviews and corrective action implementations.
  • Audits bin locations and on hand parts. Ensure accuracy for each physical bin location and reconcile inventory without electronic management system.
  • Works with manufacturing and materials management to maintain effective inventory systems and databases.
  • Work with our 3rd party warehouse to ensure accurate inventory levels and ordering of parts
  • Manage inventory (input & output) of the warehouse storage facility. Ensure timeliness and accuracy in inventory transaction reporting. Maintaining master file on the network.
  • Works with receiving department, parts expeditors, and team leads in maintaining appropriate and accurate inventory levels. Identify, analyze, and report slow moving, excess, or expired inventories.
  • Assist with pulling, staging, WIPing parts for production when time allows. Work with all production parts expeditors & team leaders to ensure their accurate and timely accounting and reporting of work in-progress inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ year general production experience
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software programs and equipment
  • Work requires attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING

The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:



  • Forklift Operations, PPE identification and usage
  • Understands SQDE Metrics, LDMS, Issue boards, 5S


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:



  • Lift/move 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously stand; walk; bend/stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and work in limited space.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

As an Inventory Control Technician you will be offered pay of $18.00-21.00 per hour dependent on experience. You will also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus tied to overall performance of the organization.
